
Driver’s Knowledge Test
General Information
Knowledge tests assess your knowledge of Alberta’s traffic laws.

Knowledge tests are conducted for:

No appointment is necessary to take the knowledge tests. All knowledge tests are computer based.
The Class 7 Test is available at test stations with audio-assistant devices that read the questions and answer choices aloud through headphones. Headphones are not provided by the office, so you will need to bring your own. Please ensure that your headphones have a physical jack, as wireless connections are not supported.
If you have difficulty with English and need minimal assistance, you may use a paper English conversion dictionary during the test.

Required Identifications and Documents
You will need to provide acceptable identification and proof of residency documents to take the knowledge test. One from each category must be provided as stated below. Please refer to this page for more information.
For clients under the age of 18 years old, consent of parents/legal guardians is required.
