Albertans are responsible for ensuring that their registrations, driver’s licences, and identification cards are current. A driver’s licence is valid for one to five years, depending on the class, and expires on your birthday. Registrations expire on an assigned month based on your surname.
No more expired registrations and driver license!
Starting April 2016, the government will no longer mail renewal notices to Albertans. Albertans can sign up for the Free Electronic renewal reminder online or at our registry office. Please feel free to contact us for any questions/inquiries.
